Aims

The Physical Education Department of the USC College of Education seeks:

• To prepare prospective graduates with the necessary competencies in the management and conduct of games, sports, and dance leading them to careers in teaching, coaching, and choreography;

• To offer an integrated physical education program for all students to assure their physical fitness and developmental interests in sports and healthy recreational activities which will serve them for life;

• To maintain such performing arts groups as the Dance Troupe, the Gymnastics Team, the Sports Club, and the Dance Club that will meet the needs and interests of students and represent the University in its cultural commitment to the community;

• To render professional services in cultural, recreational, and sports events in and outside the University;

• To encourage membership and participation of faculty and alumni in local, regional, national and international physical education and cultural associations as part of their continuing education;

• To initiate research on Cebuano indigenous games and dances.
